I came up with this idea for my then-fiancée/now-wife’s birthday.
It’s an AVR micro with an RGB LED fitted into a not too big PCB. The row of pins allows for ISP programming.
I also added a light sensor that allows for some kind of reaction to light or movement, or at least that was the idea. For now micro plays just the plain old color circle transition demo, doing a PWM on the outputs. Here is a short video:
